Analyst, Geoscience Data Americas

The Analyst, Geoscience Data Americas will support critical exploration and project planning by ensuring geoscience data is accurate, accessible, and reliable, enabling informed technical decisions across geoscience and project teams. Responsibilities Manage and maintain geoscience databases (acQuire/SQL) Perform data extraction, validation, and quality checks Configure and monitor automated data imports and exports Support reporting, workflows, and data visualization needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data insights Skills Demonstrated experience working with structured databases, preferably in a technical, scientific, or operational environment Working knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, and extracting data Experience performing data quality checks, troubleshooting inconsistencies, and maintaining data integrity Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data handling tools (CSV, MDB or similar formats) Ability to interpret technical or scientific datasets and follow defined data standards and workflows Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support internal users and stakeholders Post-secondary qualification in Geoscience, Geology, Earth Sciences, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (asset) Experience with geoscience data platforms such as acQuire is an asset but not required Benefits Medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance Health care spending account Life, accidental death and dismemberment, and critical illness insurance Short-term and long-term disability DC pension Employee assistance program (EAP) Wellbeing reimbursement program Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Company Overview Newmont is the world’s leading gold company and a producer of copper, silver, zinc and lead.
