Remote Full-time
The Tableau Developer will collaboratively work with others across the organization to create computer system and data visualization solutions to improve business procedures that revolve around reportable disease investigation and outbreak management. This position will create Tableau dashboard reports, collaborate with other developers, and attend feedback sessions. This Tableau Developer to work with the Business and IT teams on creating technical solutions, creating data storage and visualization tools, and conducting tests. This person should have the ability to design reports and dashboards, and strong analytical skills and reporting analysis tools. RESPONSIBILITIES • Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions. • Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design. • Reviewing and improving existing systems and collaborating with teams to integrate new systems. • Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues. • Creating tools to store data within the organization. • Create and manage the site’s users and groups, create projects to organize content on the site, and assign permissions to allow users (groups) to access the content • Act as a Tableau developer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) as well as work closely with Master Data Management (MDM) professionals to ensure data sources are accurate, available and analyzable. • Create and edit SQL queries within Tableau to build calculated fields. • Create interactive filters, parameters and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau. REQUIREMENTS • Certified Tableau Site Admin (preferred) • Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • Relevant work experience. • A solid understanding of SQL, rational databases, and normalization. • Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools. • Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.) • 5+ years experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture. • Outstanding oral, written and listening skills • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and their interaction with business processes • Experience working with collaborative teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the flexibility to change priorities when needed Apply tot his job
