If you are passionate about cloud computing, DevOps, and collaboration, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Cloud DevOps Engineer at Workwarp, your primary responsibilities will include:• Designing and implementing efficient and scalable cloud infrastructure using technologies such as Terraform, Packer, and Python.• Collaborating with senior technical leads and other engineers to develop and implement best practices for cloud infrastructure management.• Troubleshooting complex technical issues, working closely with colleagues to identify and implement effective solutions.• Contributing to the development and maintenance of documentation related to infrastructure and processes.• Ensuring adherence to Wayfair's technical principles, policies, and procedures.• Applying industry best practices for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure optimal system performance and throughput.• Supporting development teams in designing, scaling, and operating production data infrastructure, including CloudSQL, Firestore, Pub/Sub, Kafka, and Dataproc.• Collaborating on migration projects, assisting in transitioning existing platforms to the cloud.• Utilizing programming skills to work with self-service deployment of distributed systems.Essential QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• Significant industry experience in DevOps or cloud data systems, or related roles.• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in a Scrum team.• Basic understanding of infrastructure design and administration in cloud environments, with a willingness to learn and grow in this area.• Familiarity with cloud database, storage, and data services, preferably with hands-on experience using GCP, AWS, or Azure.• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn from senior colleagues.• A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a desire to contribute to the team's objectives and take on new challenges.Preferred QualificationsWhile not essential, the following skills and experience are highly desirable:• Knowledge or exposure to real-time streaming tools and technologies like Kafka, Pub/Sub, or Dataflow.• Knowledge or exposure to GCP's data stores, including Cloud SQL, Spanner, Firestore, and BigQuery.• Knowledge or exposure to modern orchestration tools and technologies like Airflow or Zapier.• Knowledge or exposure to distributed data processing systems like Spark, Hive, or Presto.• Basic scripting or programming skills in languages like Python, Ruby, or PowerShell.Skills and CompetenciesTo excel in this role, you will need to possess:• Strong technical skills in cloud infrastructure management, DevOps, and programming.• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.• A strong desire to learn and grow, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.• A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Workwarp, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
