Job Overview As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern at blithequark, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of excellence within the Quality Control department. This 12-week internship, scheduled from May 21 to August 9, 2024, offers a unique opportunity to work on-site at our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, and be an integral part of a dynamic team. You will be expected to commit 40 hours per week to your internship responsibilities and tasks, with some flexibility available for half-days. Key Responsibilities Perform and assist others in the Quality Control team in timely data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements. Help create and deliver results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical Customers and Leaders. Assist in investigating basic ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging issues and provide analytical responses to enable Senior Authority to make business decisions. Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to facilitate stakeholder understanding. Help develop and distribute specific queries to pull and integrate data from various sources, establishing the cadence, and validating the need for data requirements. Identify anomalies in processes through reviews/audits and communicate findings to the Team. Evaluate the effectiveness of processes and procedures by monitoring for trends and errors. Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision. May perform other work responsibilities as directed by Team Leader. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Proven ability to gather, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Capacity to effectively listen to, understand, and communicate ideas and present findings in writing, verbally, or through presentations delivered to diverse audiences. Ability to assess business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred qualifications include: Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase. Ability to understand the problem, to summarize and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning. Proficiency in using PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications. Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework. Previous internship experience in a related field.
