As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who share your passion for healthcare and customer service. **Job Summary** As an Experienced Data Entry Specialist – Prior Authorization and Utilization Management, you will play a critical role in supporting the prior authorization request process. Your primary responsibilities will include data entry, tracking, and documentation of authorization requests, as well as assisting the utilization management team with ongoing tracking and documentation. You will also contribute to the authorization review process by documenting necessary medical information. **Responsibilities** * Supports and performs data entry to maintain and update authorization requests in the utilization management system * Assists the utilization management team with ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on authorizations and referrals by policies and guidelines * Contributes to the authorization review process by documenting necessary medical information such as history, diagnosis, and prognosis based on the referral to the clinical reviewer for determination * Remains up to date on healthcare, authorization processes, policies, and procedures * Performs other duties as assigned * Complies with all policies and standards **Key Performance Indicators** * Process faxes within 1-2 hours of receiving * Maintain a typing speed of 50-60 WPM * Meet performance expectations and metrics for the team * Provide excellent customer service and support to internal teams **Requirements** * High school diploma required * 10,000 keystrokes alphanumeric per hour (50-60 WPM) typing test required * Ability to be punctual and reliable on the job * Open availability to work on any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, or holidays * Retail experience may transfer from a schedule expectation standpoint * Understanding of medical terminology and insurance preferred **Preferred Qualifications** * 3 months to 1 year of data processing or clerical experience * Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance **Work Environment** * Remote work opportunity * Flexible schedule * Opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment * Collaborative team environment **Compensation and Benefits** * $16.00 per hour * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Life insurance * Vision insurance **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for data entry and healthcare, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
