Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Standards Data Analyst to join our team as a summer 2024 intern. As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. This is a remote data entry position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization. Responsibilities and Duties Perform and assist others in the Quality Control group in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components. Assist in creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders. Assist in exploring ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities. Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding. Assist in creating and disseminating specific questions to pull and coordinate data from various sources, outlining the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements. Recognize irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the team. Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors. Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision. May perform other work duties as directed by Group Leader. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Involved ability to collect, organize, analyze large amounts of data with care and accuracy. Ability to effectively listen, understand, and communicate ideas and present written, verbal, or presentation delivered to discussions of varying audiences. Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics. Should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase, is preferred. Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning. Ability to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is preferred. Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, help/group-focused environment. Ability to focus on responsibilities seriously and be a self-motivated individual. Past internship experience in a related field is preferred. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data appropriately. Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
