UX/UI Expert Tutor

TripleTen is a remote-first organization mirroring our students who complete our bootcamps in a remote environment.

Our Expert Tutors are role models for students studying on our programs. They mentor students, help them with difficult concepts and assignments, teach them the skills necessary to be a great professional. They guide students through the program and into their future careers, making sure all students get the most out of both regardless of their background.

What you will do:

As an expert tutor, you will be a big part of student's educational process and will:
? mentor students during 1-1 video calls ? they deal with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of certain concepts, tools or skills, supporting and navigating students in their assignments
? communicate with students via ?Q&A style? video sessions for walk-in questions
? host webinars and other educational events for groups of students (about the content covered in our program, extracurricular skills, career and industry knowledge), or participate in other non-educational meetings with students (such as New Student Orientation meetings)
? share their professional expertise and best industry practices with students

? Pay rate of $40 per hour based on experience;
? Remote, part-time work (10-15 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week can be discussed);

Requirements:

3+ years of hands-on experience in UX/UI design, with a background in:
? Design Thinking and Visual Design: Demonstrated expertise in applying user-centered design principles, creating visually appealing, functional designs, and adjusting them based on user needs and feedback.
? UX Research and Usability Testing: Skilled in conducting and analyzing user interviews, usability tests, and contextual inquiries to gather insights that drive design decisions.
? Prototyping and Interaction Design: Proficient in using tools like Figma, Sketch, or InVision for wireframing, interactive prototyping, and design iteration.
? UI Design Systems and Accessibility: Knowledge of creating scalable design systems and adhering to accessibility guidelines, ensuring usability for diverse users.
? Ability to explain complex topics in understandable terms
? Ptience and empathy to students
? Eadiness to dedicate 10-20 hours a week to this project on a flexible schedule, sometimes on weekends
