Network Operations Center Engineer

Booz Allen Hamilton is looking for a Network Operations Center Engineer to monitor and maintain network operations. The role involves resolving network incidents, applying industry knowledge, and contributing to problem-solving efforts. Responsibilities Monitor network administration and maintenance operations Resolve network incidents to ensure the smooth running of the network operation center Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity Work independently with some guidance Review or guide activities of junior employees Skills Experience with managing service requests using a ticketing system Experience with network management tools Ability to configure a Cisco router, switch, and firewall via command line interface Ability to work 3rd shift: 9pm - 7:30am EST Wed-Sat Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements HS diploma or GED Experience with configuring ACL rules for use with Palo Alto firewalls Experience with setting up Site-to-Site VPNs utilizing Cisco Firewalls or Cisco Routers Experience with Cisco ASDM or NetScaler Experience with Cisco AnyConnect VPN or other remote access solution Experience with Citrix Access Gateway (ISE), SolarWinds, or nGenius Knowledge of multi-area OSPF, BGP, and MPLS environments Ability to perform packet capture and analysis using Palo Alto firewalls Ability to obtain a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), or Cisco Certified Internetwork (CCIE) Certification within 6 months of start date Benefits Health Life Disability Financial Retirement benefits Paid leave Professional development Tuition assistance Work-life programs Dependent care Company Overview Booz Allen Hamilton is a consulting firm that specializes in analytics, technology, and engineering.
