Job Overview This Principal, Business Development role will focus on developing and driving the channel strategy and relationships across health systems and health provider groups to optimize rapid growth for Amazon Pharmacy. The successful candidate will build a strategy focused on winning new customers and growing existing customer segments for the long term, driving revenue through meeting and exceeding targets while working with a high-functioning product and technical team to innovate provider and patient experience. Key Responsibilities Engage with customers and maintain senior executive relationships, focusing on large, complex opportunities at all stages of the business development lifecycle Provide thought leadership and catalyze action around business development processes, methodology, and tools, competitive positioning, and new product releases Drive efficiencies and focus across the team, effectively leveraging and communicating with internal executive resources Help define and support the product and tech roadmap to meet the needs of prescriber customers, accelerating customer adoption through well-developed go-to-market strategies to achieve customer business outcomes Expect 25-50% travel, with a hybrid work model combining remote work with time in our office A Day in the Life As a Principal, Business Development – Provider Channel at Amazon Pharmacy, you will be adept at building relationships with C-level executives and have a successful record of accomplishment closing large, complex, multi-year deals. You will enjoy working closely with customer teams to develop strategies that highlight industry-leading successes across various forums and events. As the voice of the prescriber customer, you will work closely with product teams to help them evolve products and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 7+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements experience Bachelor's degree Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level Minimum 10 years of experience in the prescriber channel or business development strategy and operations 7+ years of experience relationship building and influencing at the C-level of Fortune 50 customers Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, analytical skills, and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive goals to completion Possess decision-making, creative problem-solving, and negotiation skills Ability to keep pace in a rapidly changing environment, which requires prioritization, constant learning, juggling multiple responsibilities at once, and taking calculated risks Preferred Qualifications Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations MBA and/or advanced technical degree a plus Experience and familiarity with the Healthcare industry Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Amazon Pharmacy, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, with a base pay for this position ranging from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
