If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! The City of Portland-Oregon is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Recreation Employee for our Teen Program. With a focus on providing a safe and inclusive space for teens to explore their interests and build relationships, this role is vital in promoting a positive and fulfilling recreational experience for our community's youth. Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities for teenagers in a safe and inclusive environment. Collaborate with other team members to develop and execute a comprehensive program schedule for the teen program. Ensure that all activities and events adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Build positive relationships with teen participants and serve as a positive role model for them. Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to continuously improve the experience for teens. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding program updates, events, and any concerns. Maintain accurate records and reports of program attendance, participant feedback, and any incidents. Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers and interns for the teen program. Stay up-to-date on current trends and interests of teenagers to incorporate into program activities. Work closely with community partners to provide additional resources and opportunities for teen program participants. Serve as a liaison between the teen program and other city departments, schools, and organizations. Help promote the teen program through various marketing and outreach efforts. Attend regular staff meetings and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the City of Portland-Oregon.
