Call Center Associate Remote Medicaid

- What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to Virginia Medicaid member and provider inquiries in a call center environment using standard scripts and procedures
- Gather information, assess caller needs, research and resolve inquiries, and document calls
- Provide clear and concise information regarding eligibility, claim status, and provider enrollment status
- Follow documented policies and procedures, including call handling and escalations
- Act as an advocate for Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are met
- What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to clear a criminal background check and drug test
- Must have high-speed internet access
- How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or health insurance
- Experience with data entry and database documentation
- Call center or professional office experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS)
- Bilingual; Spanish-speaking preferred
