Salary Range: $14.86- $19.11. (2023-2024 salary range). Maximum salary upon new hire is $14.86.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment. Travel between campuses and other locations within southeast Michigan. HOURS: Mutually agreed-upon schedule of approximately 20 hours per week between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of effective communication principles. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to distill complex or abstract information into clear and accurate communication. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and prioritize competing demands. Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups. Good judgment and the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.

Job Function
Works as part of the Institutional Communications team to create effective and accurate content that supports internal communications strategies. Delivers content through the appropriate college communication channels. Assists with managing and monitoring communication channels. Establishes mutually beneficial relationships across the college to support institutional information sharing.
Job Responsibilities
? Provide day-to-day operational support to the Institutional Communications team.
? Suggests, creates and maintains content for organizational channels, including the intranet and newsletter.
? Seeks out information to further institutional communication strategies and goals. Proof and edit content.
? Track online analytics and support internal data reporting needs.
? Perform other duties as assigned and as changing conditions necessitate.
Education
Minimum of an associate degree, with preference for a focus in communications, public relations, organizational communication, strategic communication or related communications coursework.
Qualifications
A minimum of one year of experience in a professional or voluntary communications role. Demonstrated experience in writing and editing materials for diverse audiences and different mediums
