Senior Commercial Casualty Production Underwriter | Remote

Our client, an A+ rated insurance carrier, is seeking to add a Senior Commercial Casualty Production Underwriter to their Great Lakes team. This person will be responsible for underwriting and pricing new and renewal Commercial Casualty business within the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market. Working closely with producers, this role focuses on soliciting new business, managing renewals, and ensuring underwriting profitability across an assigned regional territory. This is a fully remote position! ? Assess individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for complex surplus lines commercial property and casualty policies. ? Develop, analyze, and evaluate information to identify exposures and make well-informed underwriting decisions. ? Visit producers / wholesale brokers ? Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, assisting in client retention and achieving mutual business growth. ? Achieve established production and loss ratio targets for the assigned regional territory. ? Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive landscape to drive new business opportunities. Qualifications: ? 5+ years experience in Commercial Casualty underwriting, preferably in the surplus lines/E&S market. ? Must have Production Underwriting and/or Territory Marketing experience. ? Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex risks. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building producer relationships. ? Bachelor?s degree highly preferred. Salary/Benefits: ? $140,000 to $180,000+ annual base salary plus lucrative production bonus ? Company Vehicle ?
